When I showed “Retratos Arquitectónicos” to a friend of mine, she said: “The man who loves to draw Windows,” just like that, a little like the title of a Hitchcock movie. I enjoyed those words so much that now I think that every painting I do is like a window. I can look through it and discover the streets of my favorite cities all full of windows. These Barcelona paintings are not my first try on the city, I have used it so much in my work before as an illustrator, but they are a visual stroll I made with my gaze fixed on what goes on between its walls as if I was a character in a Hitchcock movie.
