With today’s upbeat awareness of ecological issues, and the use of recycling for the well being of the planet, Pelegrí’s “Bestiario” tries to further explore the extend of these priorities. The parts used in his collages are recycled industrial materials with the marks of their history written on the surface. All is good, all matters: a rusted lid of a paint bucket, chains, old gears, forgotten metal planks. Pelegrí takes all those parts and reinvents them, changing them into the words of a new language, a sustainable language for a new world, one we hope is still possible.
